Training and Clinic Information

I am working horses on the road by the hour all across Virginia as well as taking horses in for monthly training. I do what the horse and rider need to reach true unity. I don't believe in the "cookie-cutter" style of teaching. I will assist the rider with horsemanship and equitation, start the horse under saddle, or solve behavioral issues, whatever is needed for the horse to be right. Every breed and every discipline can benefit from having gentle horses that aren't spooky and are supple, responsive and easy to ride. The methods I use are what I learned from master horsemen such as Ray Hunt and Buck Brannaman. Together, they have worked with thousands of horses. These techniques have been around for decades. I am happy to pass them along to you. I am also available for clinics. I can do anything from 1 day to 4 day clinics. I adjust my format to each group. I can do colt starting, horsemanship, or cow working. Feel free to contact me and we can discuss your needs.
I look forward to helping you and your equine partner.

Whether on the ground or mounted, you are operating the horse with feel, timing and balance.
It not possible to teach feel, but I can help you to learn it. With feel, comes the timing and balance.
If you visited a foreign country, would you expect them to speak your language while you visited their world?
No, of course not. The same goes for the horse.
It's only fair we learn his language.

Hello,
I've given this alot of thought. I'm seeing more and more articles on how folks are having to make compromises with their horses. The places I've felt a person shouldn't compromise is their feed, hay, farrier and safety. I feel like folks aren't getting the help they may need to be safe with their horse and cut corners on learning. To help folks to get the continuing education they need for themselves and their horses, I reduced my prices on training this fall. Monthly training is now $700/month, hourly training is $60/hr ( $20 more for distances over 50 miles). I want my friend to have the best deal possible. Ray Hunt always said "Adjust to fit the situation." That's what I feel I'm doing here.
